Here's my heart

I couldn't wait. I couldn't wait for a vintage valentine candy box to come my may at a price I wanted to pay so I made my own reproduction. I pleated ribbon, added posies, glitter, seam binding and a tulle bow to tie over the top. Did I mention that I LOVE pleated ribbon?!  I made an extra heart box for my etsy store too. Ahh... Valentine's Day!

Pretty little thing

I was feeling sorry for myself that all the vintage, pastel, Valentine candy boxes were going for so much money on the auction sites. Then I found this little Bethany Lowe repro box. It is very little, 4 inches, but very sweet. So it will do while I wait for the perfect, pink pleated satin, heart candy box with velvet flowers to show up at the auction for $5.00!! He-he

Vintage is better

I was a lucky girl yesterday. I found some lovely vintage seam binding in the palest sweet colors and some vintage trim. I am sharing the goodness. They can both be found in my etsy store.

Lovely Lady

This lovely lady is a Christmas gift from my husband. I named her Isabelle. I found her at Hobby Lobby and with a 40% off coupon she went quickly under my tree. 

I put her front and center on my mantle with apothecary jars on one side and a silver glittered frame on the other side. 
For Valentine's Day she is hoping for a crown or tiara.

I am still filling the apothecary jars. One has my cream colored millenary flowers in it and the other has pages from a hymnal. Not sure yet what will go in the third jar. 
This is my favorite rose. Large, fluffy and white. 
I enjoy the color of these Christmas balls so much, I have decided to leave them out all year long in what else but another apothecary jar!

I wish you all a Merrrrrry Christmas and a Happy and Healthy New Year.  Here are a few pictures of Christmas decor and some new things for the family room. This picture is dark but I was trying to capture the lights.

New valance and lace for the family room window. I have the same valance in the dining room because I like it so much. 
Chandelier for the family room . It's cheap and doesn't take up alot of room. He-he.
