There are over 80 dahlia plants in the front yard. You can see that only a few are blooming
but soon this area will be bursting with color.

Dahlia season
It's dahlia season and that is a big time for our household. Dahlias are my DH's hobby/obsession.
We have over 80 plants in our front yard as our backyard doesn't get any sun. These are 2 of the smaller variety. The come as big as a dinner plate. During August and September he will be
entering them in fairs and competitions. Sometimes I think they get more attention than I do! LOL.

I'm so excited!
I'm so excited! I have a few pretty tole
trays that I wanted to hang up. Well,
they don't make plate hangers large enough,
so out of desperation, I was willing to
put holes in my trays. Then I found this
product above. It is like velcro, one part for
the wall and one part for the tray but it
has the bonus of no mess removal by
pulling the tab when you want to take them
down. No holes in the wall or the tray!
Maybe you already knew about this. But,
I used it to hang this in my dining room.
I even used it to hang trays on my porch,
though I don't think it is intended for wood
and they might not stay but I thought it
worth the try. It takes so little sometimes!
