New York - part 2

In New York City, my family was gracious enough to indulge me in a visit to Tinsel
Trading Co., famous for miles of vintage trims, buttons, and millinery flowers.
Here is a portion of the flowers wall, organized by color. You really could spend a day a
day in there but it was near closing so I got a mere 30 minutes.

This is the ceiling in a gorgeous restaurant named Serenditpity 3 where we ate this

And that is the small, or "coward" size as they call it. They also served frozen hot
chocolate in soup bowls.

You would think most of our time was spent eating and you'd be right. My daughter knew some
great neighborhood spots like this Indian restaurant where we could hardly stand up without
getting tangled in the lights, and sparkly do-dads hanging from the ceiling. What a fun spot.

Now this is something you would only see in New York! Cupcakes from a bakery ( which we sampled of course) being delivered by bike courier. Isn't that cute?
We sure packed alot into our 3 days as we also visited MOMA, Museum of Modern Art and the Botanical Gardens. Thanks for sharing my little trip.

HOW COOL!! I've always wanted to go to Tinsel Trading. I have their book and I'll bet the store is just yummy! And I think we may all be making our deliveries via bicycle if the gas prices don't change soon =) Blessings... Polly

I'm putting both lamps in the bedroom. Shouldn't that room be "romantic", my little bird??
