I made a cross-stitched Christmas tablecloth for my niece who is getting married on Saturday. I was going to buy wrapping paper, ribbon and a card but my daughter said let's use what we have. So this is what we came up with. Butcher's paper, seam binding and copies of vintage wedding cards. Does it say "what a creative family!" or does it scream "THEY WERE TOO CHEAP TO BUY WRAPPING PAPER!" Well , the deed is done and this is how we are taking it . No excuses.

It's fun! I'd love to get a present wrapped like that!
Karen, I adore the way you wrapped this gift. I would love to have something presented to me in such a lovely way! It takes much more time than using store-bought paper & I'm sure the kids will realize the love & thought that went into it!

Hi Karen, your paper wrapping is so much nicer then any store bought wrapping paper. You can see that time, love and thought went into wrapping your gift. Great idea. It looks beautiful.
Thanks for stopping by. You can have all the cookies you want. LOL
Hugs, Celestina Marie

are you teasing me...LOL...i never find good things at that flea market like you do...did you by any chance go to the springfield show over the weekend? i SO wanted to go but i could NOT get off of work...boo...
the wee dress is hanging from one of the vertical beams in my hall~way by my stairs...
I think your wrapping turned out great...certainly very crafty and so different.
I wish I could have seen the gift...I'm not sure whether you might have shown previously?
I'll have to come back...
come by and visit when you have some time.

I think it was a fantastic idea, and I would love a package wrapped up just like that.
Great Job!
I think it screams creativity and absolute beauty!!!!! Anyone can wrap with store bought paper and bows (boring)!! Your package says you took the time to make something special.
