These are some early summer shots of the garden. These hanging planters on the porch are called "super-tunias" by the neighborhood nursery where we get them. And they are super. They will grow and hang down to the railing.

Saturday

morning, lush and full. When you sit there
you are completely blocked from view by the plants.
Not good if you want to people watch. But, oh
so cozy.

I love the moss on the rock and
suppose the fairies do too.
blowing you a kiss. It has a sawtooth hanger on the
back. It will be in my etsy shop.

Finally!

ever going to be. Good thing too, as
it has been over 90 degrees for the last 3 days!

from shower curtains from the Target line
"Simply Shabby Chic".

chairs are pillowcases so I can remove them and
wash . I don't know if it is because of the
trees or what but it gets quite dirty out there.

for decoration to soften the corners.
I can't put too many accessories out here
as the wind blows right thru here and
knocks things to the floor.

Porch part 2.....or ugly rug

I lost my mind a long time ago. This sisal rug was
stained and water marked so at the suggestion of
my friend Sharon, I stenciled it. I used the same fushia
that I used for those crazy chairs in an earlier post , and
a lighter pink for the trim. I still have 2 metal chairs
to paint before I will be able to put it together and see
the disaster...I mean porch....that I've created. At least nobody
can say I'm not fun.....ok , you could say it but you'd hurt
my feelings! LOL

Shocking pink.... or have I lost my mind

pink or fushia and the beginning of my porch redo.
I wanted it shabby and pink but with a punch.....
I guess I got that. I don't know why I even bother
with a porch as the weather has been so rainy (only 3
sunny days this month!) that I had to paint them in
my kitchen . Now I am adding pastels and will put
up more pics when it is done. (I really hate that it looks red
and you can't see the true pink).

at the flea market this week....well some not all of it,
yep there was more! One dealer that I really like
had a huge FREE pile! Well, that was all my SIL and I
needed to hear. It was a huge blessing as I was able to
snag glasses for my daughter, a Haeger vase in matte white
that I collect , some candlewick for my sister and a pink
Lefton piece at the top of this photo. I didn't get a pic of the
things I gave away, well, before I gave them away, but I
felt like a kid at Christmas and Santa Claus at the same
time. Thanks Tiffany!!
