Buttons
I am selling some of the button treasures on ebay that I scooped up at the flea market monday...........trying to spread the love. I will do that from time to time with the goodies I find there. Good mid week to all.

Flea Market Mondays

Our local flea market is on Monday. I almost feel guilty starting my week with something fun! I mean , who looks forward to monday. Thats the day to get back to work, the grind starts again. Not for me.....flea market and lunch at an Amish restaurant. Sounds like a saturday to me. Luckily, I put the day to good use and scooped up some treasures. I still don't know what I will keep and what I will sell. Crystal glass buttons! Who uses those on their clothes. Certainly not moms in jeans like me. And they used to sell 5 crystal buttons for 25 cents. Then I found vintage buttons on almost perfect cards. So sweet. Well, I hope your monday was as wonderful as mine. I promise, when it comes to Saturday I'll do some chores!

Sentimental journey
When I was growing up , we had the lobster dish. It was a wedding present to my parents in 1953. It was a relish dish that came out at holidays. It matched nothing and still we used it. When my mother passed away , the 5 kids divided things, but no one wanted the lobster dish. "I can't let it go to goodwill " I said. So , I took it , even though it didn't match anything and still we used it. Then, I found ebay and other people's lobsters that they could part with . And now I own an undersea herd . And they match...at least each other... and we use them. They are by Brad Keeler and are a California pottery. I know nothing about California pottery except these lobsters can get pricey. I have stopped buying them and probably should have stopped way before this, I know that's what you are saying! What do you collect, not because it matches your decor , but because it matches your heart. Afterall, I'm a pink girl! But the red lobsters match.

Who wants to read........
A blog.........or rather , me writing a blog! Who would want to read that. But then I thought my sister or neighbor talks to me and it's not because I know something important. OK , I do know the weather report from time to time. But really we chat for human contact, to share ideas, to let people know we care and I thought "I can do that". And I'd like to give it a try and hope you come along and talk over the fence.
