"Diamonds are a girl's best friend"

Ok, I am a horrible photographer! I couldn't catch the sparkle and I kept getting this weird shadow. This is a huge safety pin basket that I bought from the boyfriend of the lady who makes them. I paid $5.00 for it! I hope he didn't get in trouble when she found out. Who would do all this work for that? I have long admired these and want to learn to make them. This one really sparkles, which makes me love it more. So some snowy, rainy day, I'll sit down with pins and beads (pink!) and fiqure this out. But I won't be selling it for $5.00 (although my twenty something daughter might..... she thinks it's the tackiest thing ever!) If you know how this is done or have a tip , please let me hear it.

Oh this reminds me of my old great aunt~ who is long gone~ She always had the best homemade treasures in her house. Her creations were usually made of everyday objects, lots of plastic, and anything that would fit into the category of pink flamingo tackiness!!! Loved every one of them! Sorry, can't help you on the construction of this beauty and yes... I can imagine it sparkle, sitting right there beside Auntie Nelsie!

This little basket is beautiful, so much work goes into these. I've never made one, don't think I would have the patience!

How lovely! Sorry I don't know how to make one, but I'm sure you will be able to figure it out.

BTW, what is it with our daughters? Don't they get the uniqueness & hours that go into crafting things like this!!!!

Your basket is just lovely, what a great treasure you got for only $5. I am not sure how to do it either but I have seen these is magazines as collectibles. I bet it is one of those *Lost Arts* that very few people have or do anymore. Now..you just need to find a few more and you will have a new collection!

Ta ta for now...Lorena
